FEES
Either full payment or an AP – automatic payment set up, is due before the first game for the season. If you wish to set up an automatic payment, the details are as follows:

HERO
All communication will be through HERO so it is vital everyone has this app. If you need help with this, please talk to your child’s kaiako or Kirsten and Chanelle in the office. After teams are formed, initial season information and team lists will come out to you, again through HERO. Weekly draws will be sent on HERO each week as will any venue changes, cancellations or updates.
The weekly draws for each sport will also be displayed on the Sports noticeboard which is the glass cabinet by the back entrance to the School Office. Students will be encouraged to take responsibility for checking this.
REMINDERS FOR ALL SPORTS TEAMS
Once a commitment has been made to a team, it is expected students will remain in the team for the season. They may also have a practice commitment which will be set by coaches. If your child plays in a higher grade than their year level for any of the sports and the entry cost for the older year group is more, the fee will be the higher one to match the grade your child is playing in.
If students register for a sport and there are not enough players to make up a team, we will organise to refund the fees. Registrations that are submitted after the due date will only be accepted if there is room in teams.
Please consider taking on a coaching role for your child’s team. It’s a great way to get to know more of our great Mahora tamariki and for them to get to know you.
STAFF IN CHARGE OF SPORTS
This year, different teachers are leading different sports. In the initial note that comes home, you’ll see which teacher is in charge of each sport and they will be your contact if you have any questions or need support for your child. Chanelle Deslandes, in our school office, will also be helping with some of the sports admin so she will also be able to answer any questions you may have.
FRIENDS / TRANSPORT
If your child has friends playing the same sport and they’d like to be in a team together, please make a note on the form. I know sometimes it helps for transport too. Also, if it helps for your own children to play in the same team. We can usually make that work even if the age group grades are a little different.
MAHORA SCHOOL SPORTS SHIRTS
NZ Uniforms stock our sports shirts, along with the rest of our school uniform. Most of our sports teams play in the Mahora Sports shirt. We also wear them to many of our Interschool events and tournaments. We would love for all our tamariki to have their own Mahora School Sports shirt. There are also a few second hand shirts available for sale from the school office.
