Description - Oblong, dark green leathery leaves. Red flowers come out from November in the summer months.

Location - Pohutukawa can be found around our coastal areas of the North Island in Aotearoa.


Uses

As a dense wood, Māori would use Pohutukawa for tools.


Planting

Best in coastal areas and are generally considered to be hardy.
