In the playground

Expectations

Expectations and consequences are clearly and regularly articulated both to pupils and families.

Physical:

Spacious grounds and playing fields
Two hard surface play areas
Three fixed play areas, attractive and interesting.
The hall is a venue for sports, dance etc.

Personnel:

Duty teachers have clear responsibilities & roles, which are:  caring, providing  guidance, mediating, rewarding, resolving, reporting and recording.
Liaison Pupils (Blackcaps) have a supporting role in the play ground which is caring for, assisting, guiding, and mediating between children.

Management:

Staff:

All staff are required to assist in the safety and security of pupils.
Duty teachers record all incidents and actions in Duty Notebook.
Incidents are investigated and resolved by Deputy Principal or Assistant principal.  Serious incidents may result in time out of the playground or contact with parents.
Parents are advised of serious incidents or continual misbehaviour and of the actions taken.
